It all started when my mother-in-law was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and not long after, a close friend was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease). Both families began searching for in-home-care to meet their mounting needs. It was a frustrating process for all involved. It was difficult to find a care team who would see their loved one as more than their diagnosis while at the same time, view their family as an integral part of the patients overall health and well-being. Having worked in the medical field for 25+ years, my wife Theresa and I searched for a way we could provide home-care for families in need with the standard of excellence they deserve. Qualicare San Diego was founded in 2015 and since then the word has spread that this is a company you can count on to not only keep your loved one safe, but take the time to get to know them and the unique needs of your family as you care for them. I am so proud of our team and our ongoing commitment to living up to our mission statement, “Providing the highest quality of care and peace of mind, ONE family at a time.”
Linda Larson, RN – Nurse Manager
What an honor it is for me to serve San Diego County by caring for people exactly where they want to be cared for, in their own homes. In my role as Nurse Manager I have the privilege of overseeing all of our cases and caregivers, providing support, training, accountability and encouragement. As a daughter of aging parents with ever increasing care needs, I understand the importance of peace of mind and excellent, trustworthy care for the ones you love. When I think of how far we’ve come since the early days of Qualicare San Diego, I am amazed and so proud of the relationships we’ve built and the people we’ve helped in this community. As office manager, I work hard each day to stay on top of the many details of running this business with integrity, ensuring we continue to reach and exceed our high standard of excellence. With 10+ years of experience in home-care I consider it my purpose to help our clients and their families get the best of care to meet their unique needs.

In marketing it is hard to ‘sell’ when you don't believe in the product or services you are selling. This has never been a problem since I started working at Qualicare Family Home Care! I am passionate about getting the word out in North County and beyond, that we are a company that really cares with a wonderful staff. We have proven it time and again with an ‘extra-mile’ attitude and servant’s heart. Having been in the medical field most of my adult life, with over 10 years in geriatric care, I can honestly say it is my joy to whole-heartedly serve and represent this excellent and caring company.

I started out at Qualicare as a caregiver and this gives me a unique perspective when it comes to scheduling our caregiving teams. I understand the needs of our patients along with the busy schedules of the family members who love them. That knowledge guides me as I find the ideal fit from our excellent, licensed and trained staff. From my personal experience, caring for the needs of patients as well as my own family members, I see it as a privilege to help people find great solutions for their home-care needs.
Amanda Candito – Care Coordinator
As the newest member of our team I can honestly say, it is fun to work with such a great group of people who have a passion like myself for providing excellent home-care. My job is to coordinate care, matching clients with amazing caregivers, to provide the best schedule, character traits and experience to meet the needs of our patients and their families. Having been a Qualicare caregiver myself, I am uniquely qualified to instruct and advise our team members so that they are empowered to be great at what they do.
