When was the last time you had some me-time? Chances are that you can't remember. We get so busy with our lives and taking care of others that we forget to take care of ourselves.
But before you can take care of others, you have to ensure you've taken care of yourself. That's why our team at Qualicare Big Sky wants to offer some suggestions on finding that vital time for yourself:
Get a Hobby
If someone were to ask you right now what your hobby was, what would you tell him or her? If it takes you a while to come up with an answer or you simply don't have an answer, it may be time to change that.
Our days are already filled with things we need to do. Wouldn't it be nice to spend some time doing something we want to do?
Yes—and you should! Therefore, this year, think about something you have always wanted to try, whether it be taking a yoga class, learning photography or trying your hand at a second language...and do it!
Take a 30-Minute Break
While none of us can use all 24 hours in the day to be selfish, we do need to aim for at least 30 minutes a day that is just about us.
Whether you use that time to read a few pages from a book, meditate, exercise or just sit in silence, you need to have that breather in the day to help you rest and restore.
Do you feel as though you spend more time sitting than you spend doing anything else? Why not get up and have a mini dance party every once in a while throughout the day?
Not only does dancing help us to get some cardio in for the day, but it can also give our brain a much-needed mini-break, as well as boost the endorphins we need to put a smile on our face throughout the day!
While these items might not seem like such a big deal, they can make a big difference in your life. So, when are you going to start?
