What you put into your body is extremely important, especially as you age. You want to make sure you are fueling your body in the right way by consuming a healthy, well-balanced diet.
Fill your plate with plenty of fruits and veggies, lean protein (like chicken or fish), whole grains, and low-fat dairy. Limit your consumption of sodium, saturated fat and added sugars.
Just Say No to Smoking
Smoking can put you at an increased risk for high blood pressure, heart disease, stroke and other medical conditions.
If you smoke, now's the time to stop! Your body can beginning recovering immediately after smoking cessation, with positive effects for years afterward. Talk with your doctor about a cessation strategy that will work for you.
